Meteoroid Meteor Meteorite

My awesome sis Jenn wrote an amazing harmony part for this song! I wrote this as a final project in my Astronomy class :)

Look at you, such a bright thing flying through the air
Your future seems to be so bright
You command attention and everybody stares
But I've already seen the show

You're a meteoroid, then a meteor, then a meteorite
You start outside of my world, then you crash on through 'til you land in my life
Creating holes everywhere and leaving ionization trails
That muddle me, muddle me, muddle--muddle me up!

What's it mean? This attraction feels like gravity
Only problem is that you don't care
Well, just enough to make me feel I need
Your love that isn't even there!

And I don't even want you all that badly
Except when I'm inside your glow
And then, by then it's much too late, my darling
To separate the dust from the chemicals!

So, look at you--such a bright thing flying through the air
How I'm hoping that you'll pass me by
Unless you are ready for me up there
And even then, we wouldn't quite combine

'Cause you're a meteoroid, then a meteor, then a meteorite
You start outside of my world, then you crash on through 'til you land in my life
Creating holes everywhere and leaving ionization trails
That muddle me, muddle me, muddle--muddle me up!
